Cookie & Local Storage Policy

Last Updated: October 14, 2026

This Cookie & Local Storage Policy explains how Gemetica ("Gemetica," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies in connection with its website and application.

This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, available at https://gemetica.com/docs/privacy.

1. What Are Cookies and Browser Storage?

Cookies are small pieces of information that websites may store on a visitor's device.

Browser storage technologies, including localStorage and sessionStorage, allow web applications to store information in a user's browser.

These technologies may be used for authentication, security, application preferences, temporary processing, and other functions necessary to provide the Service.

2. Essential Authentication and Session Storage

Gemetica uses Supabase Auth to provide account authentication and session management.

Depending on the implemented authentication configuration, session-related information may be stored in browser localStorage, cookies, or other appropriate storage mechanisms.

This information may include authentication tokens, session identifiers, and technical data required to maintain a signed-in session.

Authentication storage is used to provide requested account functionality and is not intended for advertising or behavioral profiling.

Clearing or blocking essential browser storage may cause users to be signed out or prevent certain application features from functioning correctly.

3. Application Preferences and Functional Storage

Gemetica may use browser storage to support application functionality, including:

Supported Rhino 3DM files are converted into GLB format locally within the user's browser.

Original 3DM files are not uploaded to or stored on Gemetica's servers through the supported conversion workflow.

The resulting compressed GLB files may be uploaded and stored to provide design visualization, sharing, and review functionality.

Local file processing does not necessarily mean that the original file is permanently stored in the browser. Temporary data may be removed when processing ends, the page is closed, or browser storage is cleared, depending on the implementation.

4. Website Analytics

Gemetica uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, where enabled, to understand website traffic and technical performance.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to provide website analytics without using analytics cookies or browser localStorage to track individual visitors.

Analytics information may include aggregated traffic statistics and technical performance measurements.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is not intended to provide advertising-based behavioral profiles of Gemetica visitors.

5. Payment and Checkout Technologies

Paid purchases are not currently available. Paddle is the intended Merchant of Record for purchases processed through its checkout when paid purchases are enabled.

When users interact with Paddle checkout, subscription management pages, or billing support services, Paddle may use cookies or similar technologies for payment processing, fraud prevention, security, and related purposes.

Paddle's use of such technologies is governed by its applicable privacy and cookie disclosures.

Gemetica does not use browser storage to collect or retain complete payment card details.

Paddle's privacy information is available at:

https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy

6. Hosting, Security, and Infrastructure

Gemetica uses Cloudflare for website hosting, infrastructure services, and storage of supported design files through Cloudflare R2.

Cloudflare may process technical information necessary for network security, service delivery, and protection against abusive activity.

Depending on the security features enabled, Cloudflare services may use cookies or similar technologies necessary for security or service operation.

The exact technologies used may vary depending on the configuration of the Service.

7. Advertising and Third-Party Tracking

Gemetica does not currently plan to use third-party advertising pixels, targeted advertising cookies, or cross-site behavioral tracking technologies as part of its core website and application.

If such technologies are introduced, this Policy will be updated and any legally required consent or choice mechanisms will be implemented before their use.

8. Managing Cookies and Browser Storage

Users can manage or delete cookies and browser storage through their browser settings.

Most modern browsers allow users to:

Disabling essential storage may affect authentication, saved preferences, or other application functionality.

Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, Gemetica will request that consent before using those technologies.

9. Third-Party Services

Gemetica uses third-party providers to support the operation of the Service.

Relevant providers may include:

Other providers, including email and domain registration services, do not necessarily place cookies on visitors' devices merely because Gemetica uses their services.

Third-party services may operate under their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie & Local Storage Policy to reflect changes to the technologies used by Gemetica, applicable legal requirements, or our data handling practices.

The updated version will be published on our website with a revised "Last Updated" date.

Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law.
