Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 14, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Gemetica ("Gemetica," "we," "us," or "our").
Gemetica is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that enables jewelry designers, studios, and their clients to collaborate on jewelry design projects. Our platform allows users to upload and present 3D jewelry designs, share interactive previews, collect feedback, manage design revisions, and obtain client approvals.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit our website, create an account, use our platform, or interact with our services.
By using Gemetica, you acknowledge that you have been provided with this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires consent for specific processing activities, we will seek that consent separately.

2. Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and improve Gemetica.
2.1 Account Information
When you register for or use an account, we may collect:
- Email address
- Account identifiers
- Authentication information managed through our authentication provider
- Account preferences and settings
- Subscription status and related account information
We use this information to authenticate users, manage accounts, provide access to the platform, and communicate important service information.
2.2 Uploaded Designs and Project Content
Gemetica enables users to upload, present, and manage digital jewelry designs.
Supported file formats include Rhino 3DM and GLB. When a user selects a Rhino 3DM file, it is converted into GLB format locally within the user's browser. The original 3DM file is not uploaded to or stored on Gemetica's servers.
The resulting GLB file is processed and compressed in the user's browser before being uploaded to our storage infrastructure. GLB files provided directly by users may also be processed and compressed before upload.
Project content may include:
- Compressed GLB files and related 3D design assets
- Project information and current design versions
- Feedback, comments, and approval records
- Other content users submit through the platform
When a user successfully replaces an existing design with a new version, the previous stored GLB file is deleted after the replacement upload succeeds. Gemetica does not provide access to previously replaced 3D model files as a version history.
Uploaded designs may contain proprietary, confidential, or commercially sensitive information.
We process this content to provide interactive 3D previews, design reviews, collaboration, design updates, and client approvals.
We do not claim ownership of uploaded jewelry designs.
Uploaded files and project content may contain personal information, depending on what users include.
2.3 Client Review and Collaboration Information
When users share designs with clients through review links, we may process information associated with those interactions, such as:
- Review link identifiers
- Submitted feedback and comments
- Design approval or revision decisions
- Project collaboration records
- Related timestamps and activity records
Where these features are enabled, this information is used to support collaboration, maintain project history, and document design approvals.
2.4 Payment and Subscription Information
Paid subscriptions are not currently available. Gemetica intends to use Paddle to manage subscription billing and payment processing when paid purchases are enabled.
When you purchase a subscription, Paddle may collect and process information such as:
- Billing name and address
- Payment method details
- Transaction information
- Tax-related information
- Subscription and payment status
Payment card information is processed by Paddle in accordance with its own privacy and security practices.
Gemetica may receive limited billing information from Paddle, such as subscription status, transaction identifiers, and payment confirmation, to manage your subscription.
We do not need to store complete payment card details on our own servers to provide subscription access.
2.5 Usage and Analytics Information
Gemetica uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, where enabled, to understand website traffic and technical performance.
Analytics information may include:
- Page visits and navigation activity
- Referring websites
- Browser and device information
- General geographic information
- Aggregated website usage statistics
Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to provide privacy-focused website analytics without using analytics cookies or browser localStorage to collect usage metrics.

4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, or similar legislation applies, we process personal information under one or more of the following legal bases:
Performance of a contract: To create accounts, provide platform functionality, manage subscriptions, and deliver requested services.
Legitimate interests: To maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, understand service performance, and improve the platform, where those interests are not overridden by individuals' rights and freedoms.
Legal obligations: To comply with applicable tax, accounting, regulatory, and other legal requirements.
Consent: Where consent is required, including for certain optional communications or technologies, if implemented.
Where Gemetica processes personal information within customer-uploaded content on behalf of a business customer, that customer may act as the data controller and Gemetica may act as a data processor or service provider, depending on applicable law and the circumstances.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We use trusted third-party providers to operate Gemetica.
These providers may process information on our behalf or independently, depending on the service and circumstances.
Cloudflare Pages
Purpose: Website hosting and delivery.
Cloudflare Pages supports the hosting and distribution of our website.
Supabase
Purpose: Authentication, database management, and backend infrastructure.
Supabase supports user authentication, account records, and application data.
Cloudflare R2
Purpose: Storage of uploaded 3D design files.
Cloudflare R2 provides object storage infrastructure for uploaded jewelry design files and related assets.
Resend
Purpose: Transactional email delivery.
Resend is used to deliver service-related emails, including invitations, notifications, and other operational communications.
Paddle
Purpose: Subscription billing and payment processing.
Where paid purchases are enabled, Paddle processes subscription payments and related billing information. Paddle may act as an independent controller for certain payment, tax, and compliance activities.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
Purpose: Website traffic measurement.
Where enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics provides privacy-focused information about website usage and performance.
We share information with these providers only as reasonably necessary for the relevant services, subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.
Their processing activities may also be governed by their respective privacy policies.
6. Storage and Security of 3D Design Files
We understand that jewelry designs may represent valuable intellectual property and confidential business information.
Uploaded 3D design files are stored using Cloudflare R2 infrastructure.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information and uploaded content against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Such measures are intended to address the risks associated with operating a cloud-based collaboration platform.
However, no internet-based service, storage system, or electronic transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users should exercise appropriate care when uploading confidential materials and sharing access to their projects.
7. Design Review Links and Shared Content
Gemetica allows users to share interactive 3D jewelry design previews with clients and collaborators through review links.
Review links do not require recipients to create an account or sign in. Anyone who possesses an active review link can access and view the associated design and use the review features available through that link.
Users are responsible for sharing review links only with intended recipients and should treat active review links as access credentials for the associated design.
When a design is archived or deleted, its review link becomes inactive. Visitors opening an inactive review link will see a message indicating that the link is no longer active, rather than the design preview.
Temporary model-download links issued before a review link becomes inactive may remain valid until they expire, currently for up to five minutes, unless the model file is removed earlier. Deactivating a review link does not remove copies, screenshots, or recordings already obtained by a recipient.
Gemetica processes feedback, comments, approval decisions, and related interaction records submitted through review links to provide collaboration and design approval functionality.
Users should avoid publicly sharing active review links when the associated designs contain confidential or commercially sensitive information.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce applicable agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the purpose of processing, and legal requirements.
For example:
- Account information: Retained while an account is active and for any additional period necessary for legitimate operational or legal purposes.
- Uploaded designs and project content: Retained as necessary to provide project storage and collaboration functionality, subject to applicable deletion procedures.
- Subscription and transaction records: Retained as required for accounting, tax, and other legal obligations.
- Technical and security records: Retained for periods reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, and compliance.
When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize, or otherwise securely dispose of it, subject to applicable technical and legal limitations.
Information stored in backups may remain temporarily until the applicable backup retention cycle expires.
9. Account and Data Deletion
Users can initiate account deletion through their account settings at https://gemetica.com/app/settings.
Any associated paid subscription must be in a confirmed canceled status before account deletion can be completed. Account deletion may be blocked while a subscription remains uncanceled. Users can cancel through available billing management options or contact contact@gemetica.com for assistance. Requesting account deletion does not itself replace subscription cancellation.
Account deletion also initiates the deletion of associated projects, stored 3D design files, review links, comments, feedback, approval records, and related personal information, subject to applicable legal retention requirements and technical limitations.
Deleted designs will no longer be accessible through their review links.
Certain information, including transaction records, may be retained where required by applicable tax, accounting, or other legal obligations. Information contained in backups may remain temporarily until the applicable backup retention period expires.
9.1 Free Access Eligibility and Abuse Prevention
Gemetica provides eligible users with a one-time free usage allowance.
To prevent repeated use of this allowance through account deletion and re-registration, Gemetica retains a limited record of previous free allowance usage.
This record consists of a protected, pseudonymized identifier derived from the user's email address, an indicator showing whether the free allowance has been used, and limited timestamps necessary to manage retention.
The record does not contain the user's original email address. However, the email-derived identifier remains personal data because it can be used to recognize a returning user.
The record is used solely to determine eligibility for the one-time free allowance and prevent repeated redemption.
Where applicable, Gemetica relies on its legitimate interests in preventing misuse of its free access offering, subject to an assessment of necessity, proportionality, and the rights and interests of affected individuals. Other applicable legal requirements, including those under Turkish data protection law, will also be respected.
Gemetica retains this limited record for up to 24 months after account deletion, unless a shorter retention period is required by applicable law or the record is no longer necessary for its stated purpose.
After the applicable retention period expires, the record will be deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
Retaining this limited eligibility record does not mean that deleted projects, stored 3D models, review links, comments, or other account content remain available.
Users may contact contact@gemetica.com to ask questions about this processing or exercise applicable data protection rights.
9.2 Privacy Requests
Users may contact contact@gemetica.com with questions or requests concerning their personal information.
We will handle deletion requests and related privacy rights in accordance with applicable law.
10. International Data Transfers
Gemetica serves users worldwide and relies on cloud infrastructure and third-party service providers.
As a result, personal information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country where a user resides.
Where required by applicable law, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
These may include applicable adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.
The applicable safeguards depend on the service provider, processing arrangement, and countries involved.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Gemetica may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, session management, security, and core website functionality.
Where enabled, we also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service designed to collect usage metrics without analytics cookies or browser localStorage.
We do not represent that every part of our platform is cookie-free, as authentication and other essential services may require browser-based storage technologies.
Where legally required, we will provide appropriate information and obtain consent before using non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies.
Users may manage cookies through their browser settings, although restricting essential cookies may affect certain platform functions.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information.
These rights may include:
- Accessing personal information we hold about you
- Requesting correction of inaccurate information
- Requesting deletion of personal information
- Requesting restriction of certain processing activities
- Objecting to processing based on legitimate interests
- Receiving certain personal information in a portable format
- Withdrawing consent where processing relies on consent
- Filing a complaint with a competent data protection authority
Residents of certain US states may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws, including rights concerning access, correction, deletion, and certain disclosures of personal information.
These rights are subject to applicable exceptions and eligibility requirements.

We may request reasonable information to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

Our services are not directed toward children under the age of 16.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 16 through child-directed services.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, please contact contact@gemetica.com so we can review the matter and take appropriate action.
14. Intellectual Property and User Content
Users retain their applicable ownership rights in jewelry designs and other content they upload to Gemetica.
We process uploaded content to provide the platform's features, including file storage, 3D visualization, project collaboration, and design approvals.
We do not acquire ownership of uploaded designs merely because they are stored or processed through our platform.
Users are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights and permissions to upload, share, and collaborate on their content.
Any contractual license needed for Gemetica to host, process, display, or transmit user content should be addressed in the applicable Terms of Service.
15. Data Breaches and Security Incidents
We take the security of personal information seriously.
If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will investigate the incident and take appropriate steps to address the risks.
Where required by applicable law, we will notify affected individuals, customers, or relevant regulatory authorities within the applicable legal timeframes.

Our website or platform may contain links to external websites or third-party services.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites or services that we do not operate or control.
We encourage users to review the privacy policies of third-party services before providing personal information to them.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services, technologies, legal obligations, or data processing practices.
When changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
